This year with the support of outdoor education specialists Carnegie Great Outdoors we set Bud’s Run supporters a new and exciting challenge. On Saturday 19 May over 60 of us tackled Yorkshire’s magnificent Three Peaks: Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.
So far this event has raised over £9000 to fund research into Parkinson’s disease and with donations still coming in along with Gift Aid we’ll achieve our target of £10,000. Well done to all who took part – superb effort.
Graham Ellis, a former international athlete was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease at the age of 55. Since his diagnosis he’s set himself a number of challenges including the Bud’s Run 5k and a 100 mile bike ride. This year he took part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge. Well done Graham – you are an inspiration to us all.
